The Two Senior Officers Moments Prior to the Attacker Received Electric Shock

One senior officer who jumped to the assistance of a partner that was assaulted by a blade-wielder received the Royal Recognition for Bravery.

Sgt Tim Ansell grappled with twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown after he held a weapon to the throat of his colleague Sgt Marc Foster.

Brown launched his attack as the officers and their third officer, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were conversing to a driver subsequent to a traffic accident in the area in mid-2023.

The new honor comes subsequent to the three officers received departmental Bravery Awards in fall 2023 and the prestigious bravery honor from the local officer association in April 2024.
